Players
The Players page lists who is on your Rust server, connected or sleeping, and lets you act on them without typing commands.
Where the data comes from
A small helper plugin ("Rust Manager") on your server sends the player data to the panel, so the page has data only while the server runs and the helper has loaded.
This message means the helper has not reported yet:
The plugin has not published any data yet; its loading is not confirmed.
It is normal during startup. Wait for Server startup complete in the console, then press Refresh or wait for the next update.
Using the page
- Search: by player name or Steam ID.
- Refresh every: the slider sets the update interval (2 seconds by default); Reset restores the default. Faster is more live, slower is lighter on your connection.
- Actions: pick a player for Kick, Ban, Heal, Feed, Teleport and Recover. The exact set depends on the helper's version.
Every action is recorded with its result in the Rust Manager Log.
Before you moderate
- Kick first for minor issues; keep Ban for clear cases.
- An action's result depends on the server confirming it. If the player is offline or the server is restarting, the log may show it was not delivered. Results are explained in Rust Manager Log.
- Permanent admin or moderator rights go in
users.cfg, as explained in server.cfg. They are separate from panel users: to give someone panel access, use Users in Settings.
Common problems
- The list stays empty after the server is up. Press Refresh, wait a minute and check the console for helper errors. If it still publishes nothing, restart the server once, then open a ticket.
- The message appears after you enabled Oxide. Enabling Oxide restarts the server and the helper needs a moment to reload.
- Players that are not shown. Only connected and sleeping players are listed; someone who never joined the current map does not appear.
- An action did nothing. Check the log result, then retry once the server has finished starting.
