Fenix AI

Fenix AI is the assistant in your game panel, called Fenix. It reads the console and latest log of your server, explains what went wrong in plain English and can fix it, but only after you say yes.

Where to find it​

  • Ctrl K anywhere in the panel, or Ask Fenix in the top bar.
  • Fenix AI in the ASSISTANT sidebar group, for the full page.

Every server has Fenix AI, and Fenix always works on the server you are viewing.

What it can do​

  • Read and explain: it checks the console and the latest log and tells you the cause of an error in plain words.
  • Propose a fix: for example a changed line in a config file, a restart, or installing a plugin or mod that matches your version.
  • Run actions you ask for: start, stop or restart the server, or send a console command such as whitelist add, op, time set or save-all.
  • Check-up: ask for a check-up and it reviews status, CPU, memory and disk and tells you what needs attention.

Ask in your own words: "the server is lagging", "why does it crash on start?", "restart the server".

Apply and Dismiss​

Fenix never changes anything without showing it first.

  1. Fenix describes the change and shows a card. For a file change the card shows the lines added or removed.
  2. Press Apply to run it, or Dismiss to do nothing. Power-action cards may use a confirm button instead of Apply.
  3. Applied cards are marked as applied. Restart the server if the change needs it.

The Ask before every change option in the input box keeps this confirmation on. The panel on the right has tabs (Changes, Files, Console and Server) to follow what changed.

tip

Before you accept a big change, such as editing several files, make a backup.

Conversation history​

  • New conversation starts a fresh chat.
  • EARLIER lists older conversations with their date. Click one to reread or continue it.

Usage and plans​

The top of the chat shows Monthly usage (a percentage of what your plan allows), the plan name and the reset day. Manage plan opens the plan page.

Let Fenix see your account​

With this switch on, Fenix can see your services, credits and plan to answer better:

  1. Log in at fenixhost.net and open Account.
  2. In Personal details, find Allow Fenix to use your account info to answer you better.
  3. Switch it on or off, then click Update.

With it off, Fenix cannot see your services, credits or plan but still helps with your server.

Tips​

  • Give details: "Players cannot join since the last update" beats "it is broken".
  • Fenix covers the panel and your server. For billing or account access, see Contact.
  • If an answer does not fix the problem, say so, or open a ticket with the console lines around the error.
