Rust Manager Log
The Rust Manager Log records actions taken on players: who did what, to whom, when, and whether it worked. Use it to review moderation, settle disputes in your admin team and see why an action did not take effect.
Actions are recorded from the Players page and from other connected tools.
The table
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| TIME | When the action was requested. |
| ADMIN | The account that requested it. |
| ACTION | What was done, for example Heal, Kick, Teleport, Feed, Recover or Destroy. |
| PLAYER | The player's name and Steam ID. If the name is not known you may see "Unknown Player" with the ID or the text that was entered. |
| DETAILS | Extra information about the action, such as the amount for a heal. A dash means there are no details. |
| RESULT | What happened to the action (see below). |
Results
| Result | What it means |
|---|---|
| Completed | The server confirmed that the action was done. |
| Not confirmed | The request was sent, but the server did not report back that it was completed. It may still have worked: check in game. |
| Not delivered | The request did not reach the server. This often happens when the server is stopped or still starting. |
| Failed | The server received the action but could not carry it out. |
If you see many Not delivered results, check that the server is running, that it has finished starting (Server startup complete in the Console) and that the Players page shows live data.
Filters
- The search box finds rows by player name, Steam ID, admin or action.
- All actions shows one type of action, for example only kicks.
- All admins shows the actions of one admin.
- Refresh (top right) loads the latest entries.
Combine them, for example to see what one admin did this week.
Tips
- If an action shows Not confirmed, check the player in game or on the Players page before repeating it, so you do not apply it twice.
- Entries are history only and undo nothing. To undo a ban or change permissions, use server.cfg and RCON.
