Settings
One page, five sections: Network, Subdomain, Users, SFTP access and Advanced.
Network
Each entry shows an IP ADDRESS, a PORT and a Notes box for your own reminders.
The entry marked Primary is the address players use, shown in the SERVER ADDRESS card on the Console.
Other entries have a Make Primary button. Rust servers have several because the game uses extra ports for RCON, queries and the Rust+ app (see Rust). You normally do not need to change the primary.
Subdomain
A subdomain lets players join with a name such as my-server.srv.fenixhost.net instead of numbers.
- In Subdomain, type the name you want. It must be 3-32 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens.
- Click Create.
- Use the new name in your game instead of the IP address.
You can also reach this section with the Add a subdomain link on the Console page. For Minecraft, see Minecraft subdomain.
Users
Subusers help manage your server without your password.
- Click New User.
- Enter their email address.
- Choose their permissions (console, files, backups...). Give only what they need.
- Send the invitation.
The list shows each person's email, whether they use two-factor authentication, and their number of permissions. The pencil edits permissions; the bin removes them.
The invited person finds your server in the store under Shared with you.
Only invite people you trust. Someone with file or console access can change or delete your server data. Never share your own account password, see Account security.
SFTP access
The SFTP password and SSH keys belong to your account and work on all your servers.
- SFTP password: until you set one, SFTP only works with an SSH key. Click Set an SFTP password.
- SSH keys: click Add an SSH key and paste your public key. Your keys are listed here.
Host, port and user are on the Files page. See Files and SFTP for the FileZilla and WinSCP steps.
Advanced
Debug information
DEBUG INFORMATION shows the Node and Server ID of your server. Include both when you contact support. See Contact.
Reinstall server
REINSTALL SERVER stops your server and runs the installation script again. Some files may be deleted or replaced, so the panel offers to make a backup first.
- Click Reinstall server.
- In the dialog, accept the offer to make a backup first, unless you already have a recent one.
- Confirm and wait for the reinstall to finish.
- Start the server from the Console.
Reinstall is a last resort, for example when a server will not start and nothing else has worked. Check your files and backups first: anything you changed may be replaced.
